David joined Reliance Development Company in 2005 as Director of
Development. Originally from
Stillwater, Minnesota, David received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology
and Philosophy with a minor in Economics from the University of Minnesota –
Duluth in 1990 and his Juris Doctorate from Hamline University School of Law in
1993.
After law school, David moved to St. Louis, Missouri to work as an attorney in
the title insurance industry. After
a short stint in St. Louis, David moved back to Minnesota to pursue his real
estate career. David was Director of
Real Estate for Video Update from 1998 to 2000 when Video Update was the third
largest video rental chain in the country. From
2000 until joining Reliance in 2005, David managed the real estate strategy and
development growth of the Cub Foods and Hornbacher’s grocery formats for
SUPERVALU INC.
David is a member of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association, the
International Council of Shopping Centers and the Minnesota State Bar
Association. He is also active with the Caring Tree, a charitable organization that works
to provide school supplies to Minnesota children in need.
David
and his wife Jennifer make their home in Cottage Grove and have three children. David, like
many, fights a fleeting battle with the game of golf while also having less
frustrating interests in snowmobiling and fly-fishing.
